🌐 As a global remote-first company, Strapi encourages Strapiers to work from wherever they are most pleased!

Following some instructions, everyone can ask to work abroad (for less than 6 months in the year, due to legal and fiscal requirements). ❓ Working abroad: working from another location (country) from the one written in your contract.

NB 1: European and non-European citizen processes have to be different for legal reasons. NB 2: Non-European processes will be documented as soon as needed, as all cases have different legal requirements.

You must follow this process if you work from a different time zone.

How do I request a period of working abroad?

Only for stays longer than 2 weeks and less than 6 months

You need to communicate it to your manager and the People Team and keep Strapi informed

❓Why one month before the departure?

Make sure you will get insured

If you are European and will have a stay in a European country

Get an optional insurance

Keep Strapi informed

I discuss it with my manager 1 month before at least (and before filling in the form) to ensure it will not have any impact on the teamwork

If I want to work at a different timezone, I identify the different meetings that could be impacted

I inform my team a few days before

I update my Google calendar, Slack and Whena.re (and Lever, if you recruit) with your time zone

I post on Slack in #chill-room
